Kashmir video in the making

Friday, January 08, 2010

Happy new year folks. I know that i totally suck at updating my blog when i am really busy. But recently I have been working around the clock casting actors, scouting locations, drawing storyboards and assembling an amazing team for the next Kashmir video. The shoot will be starting this coming wedensday, but i thought i´d give you a sneak peak and a little hint. The outline of the story is something along the lines of: The Little Girl With The Matches meets Pinocchio meets social realism. Above is a process picture of the  main character currently being brought to life by the wonderful people of Din Mor. Stay tuned for behind the scenes video and a february premiere...

These are my friends Shout Out Louds. I have had them sleeping on my apartment floor noumerous times back in the day when they came to town for shows. They are probably the friendliest band on the face of the planet. So as they are about to release their 3rd album 'Work', they deserve all the support they can get.

Judging from this song i bet that they never have to sleep on peoples floors ever again. Download the track free here and remember to go see them play if they come to your neck of the woods!

Show opening at Vinyl Cph

Thursday, November 26, 2009

Vinyl Cph opened with a bang yesterday. This is what curators Jesper Elg and Soren Rose say about the show:

'The aim of the Vinyl Cph show is to break down boarders between art and graphic design by letting a selected group of Danish and foreign artists give life to 30 black vinyl toys. Neither in terms of decoration nor in the use of materials are there any limitations. The project will thus provide space for individual expression within a fixed framework. By seeing each artwork surrounded by the others, the individual styles are put in perspective'

Take a look at my contribution and some pictures from the vernissage at Karrierebar:

Good Wood

Tuesday, November 03, 2009

This is old news, but i thought i´d drop a line about it anyways. My Good Wood deck was displayed in the third edition of the show which this time went down in Philadelphia. Here is what curator Andrew Davis said about the show:

'Slingluff Gallery
will be hosting the third installment of the lovable skate deck show we dubbed Good Wood three years ago. I never saw it becoming more than just a good time with good art one night in Detroit. Now it's taken on all sorts of new good & the kind that really counts. There will be a silent auction the night of the show and online for people to bid on the work to benefit the organization Stay True.'

MetroSea

Thursday, September 17, 2009

My friend Nick,  who is also the art director over at Epitaph Records,  just relaunched his portfolio with an impressive collection of punk rock related artwork. He also runs a very fine blog right here if you are into black metal, obscure video posts and Metro/Sea related news. I know i am.

The Mae Shi

Tuesday, August 04, 2009

So, not that this qualifies as news in any way, but i just really need to post this video cause The Mae Shi rule the galaxy as far as i´m concerned. I´ve been listening to their latest album Hillyh on repeat while working these past few days. And so should you! Play the album on repeat that is.

Right now it looks like the band is about to split in two. Hope in means double trouble.

TW video in the making

One Day

Thursday, July 09, 2009

My friend Emil has just put out a fine little book book:

...One Day' takes a comprehensive look at how these graphics have entered our daily lives, and adorn everything from alarm clocks to skateboards. Not only do these graphics apply beauty, life and personality to our objects, but they also create a relationship with us, when they become part of the “visual soundtrack” to our lives.

People keep telling me that my artwork for The Fashion is all over the MTV hit series The Hills.  I will probably never get around to watching an episode myself, but my buddy Kriss just sent me this picture. Holla...

There, I fixed it!
